An adorable cat, named after the Queen, has caught a lot of attention recently after it's life of luxury in a five-star hotel was revealed. It’s hard to see others living the life you deserve, and even more so when it’s a cat.

Lilibet, who turns three this month, roams around the swanky London hotel, The Lanesborough, where a suite can set you back a whopping £27,000 per night.

Jo Stevenson, who works at the hotel, told the Daily Star: "Lilibet's name was chosen by the cat committee – as the Queen is our adjacent neighbour to The Lanesborough, we thought it a befitting name to call her after the Queen's childhood nickname.

"And Lilibet is the Queen of The Lanesborough."

The adorable feline was given the name before Prince Harry and wife Meghan welcomed their second baby - a girl, named Lilbet, so, she’s a bit of a trendsetter, really.

The pampered cat has free run of the fancy hotel, with the exception of the main restaurant - and if she’s anything like my cats, that is a very good idea.

When it comes to looking after the Queen of The Lanesborough, it is very much a joint effort, with Jo explaining that all the staff chip in to make sure she’s happy and healthy.

Jo said: "We have a cat committee at The Lanesborough – but we all take care of her – there is a Whatsapp group and we have a tracker on her so if she does go missing we can find her."

As you may have guessed due to the fact it has a resident cat, The Lanesborough is a pet-friendly hotel, meaning Lilbet is on hand - or paw - to welcome four-legged guests who come to stay with their owners.

She’s pretty chilled with most types of pet, but Jo says, she isn’t too keen on French bulldogs.

Jo explained: "Lilibet welcomes all our regular guests, visiting guests to our outlets, and as we are cat and dog friendly have a regular fellow fury friends visiting – there is one breed she is not keen on and that is French bulldogs – she becomes very feisty when she sees this breed for some reason."

The Lanesborough regularly shares snaps of Lilbet on social media, where she’s picked up plenty of fans who can’t get enough of the fancy feline.
