Mysterious influencer Jean Phil has an equally strange rival called Archibrown
An AI-generated account which has gone viral has had a 'rival' account pop up.
The account for AI-generated character Jean Philanthrope, a surname which ironically means 'to love humans', has racked up millions of views on Instagram with a series of short clips.
These feature the eccentric-looking character, who is dressed in a tweed suit and tie, sometimes a bow tie, with bleached blond hair in a bob cut and a curly moustache.
The AI videos showing the character in front of the Eiffel tower, by a road junction, or in restaurants or cafes, where the character gets up and does a sequence of shadowboxing moves.

Videos on the account have drawn a lot of attention online, with one alone being viewed 35.9 million times, and others also racking up views in the millions.
It turns out that the extremely meme-able character, which gives the appearance of eccentricity or stylishness, is actually connected to a meme coin, a form of cryptocurrency, with this one in particular being called 'JEANPHIL'.
Such is the attention that the account has drawn that now a 'rival' to Jean Philanthrope has also popped up on social media as well.
One of them has been called Archibald Brown, with the videos taking on the same format as the ones featuring Jean Philanthrope.
Archibald Brown is also shown in AI-generated videos, ostensibly in a 'British' location, though of course the location isn't actually real.
This character also has the same look, with the suit and tie and twirly moustache to create a distinctive or eccentric look, or at least an idea of that which will catch people's attention on social media.
But this time the character appears to have been coded to appear British rather than Jean Philanthrope who appears in 'French' locations.
Lots of the video generated for the Archibald Brown account also see the character issuing a challenge to Jean Philanthrope to fight, with both of them doing the shadowboxing moves in the videos, Dexerto reports.
And like the Jean Philanthrope account, there is also a meme coin which is associated with Archibald Brown as well, as the account gains over 100,000 followers in a relatively short space of time.
What is a meme coin?
A meme coin is a form of cryptocurrency which is based around a distinctive and recognisable character or meme that gathers attention on social media
The idea is that as the character spreads and gains attention online this creates interest in the cryptocurrency and helps its price to rise, however it's been noted that this form of cryptocurrency is particularly unstable.
The first meme coin, which was actually created as a joke, was Dogecoin.
Another example was meme coin called $HAWK, which was launched by Haliey Welch who originated the 'hawk tuah' meme when she found viral fame after being interviewed in the street.
This rocketed up to a whopping $490 million market cap not long after it launched, only to then lose around 95 percent of its market value very rapidly.
