Amber Heard Used Mushrooms And MDMA With ‘High Profile Acquaintance’, Nurse Testifies

Amber Heard's former personal nurse has claimed the Aquaman star admitted to using mushrooms and MDMA simultaneously with a 'high profile acquaintance'.

Erin Falati discussed Heard's behaviour in a pre-recorded deposition played during testimony on Tuesday (3 May) amid the ongoing trial over Johnny Depp's accusations that he was defamed by Heard in a 2018 op-ed.

Depp's lawyers drew attention to Falati's notes from the time she worked with Heard, in particular an entry from 11 May, 2016, little more than two weeks after Heard and Depp had a major fight that ultimately led to their separation.

Falati wrote in the notes that she had visited Heard's apartment in downtown Los Angeles on this date to deliver some medication for an upcoming trip to New York City.

During her visit, Heard is said to have talked to the nurse about a recent trip to the Coachella festival, which she left for the morning after the fight.

According to Falati's notes, Heard admitted she 'ingested mushrooms and MDMA simultaneously while also consuming alcohol', as well as having 'vomited' and being 'high for at least 24 hours straight' as a result of the drug and alcohol use.

The nurse claimed she told the actor that 'illicit drug use will not be tolerated by medical staff' and that it could interact with medications Heard had been prescribed, but said Heard laughed and also reported to using illicit drugs (mushrooms and MDMA) two days prior while 'at home with a high-profile male acquaintance'.

It is unclear who the acquaintance was, though Falati noted that Heard 'reported that her husband was not aware of the male visitor, not her illicit drug use.'

Around the time Heard and Depp broke up in May 2016, Heard also sent pictures of her face to Falati.

Falati was among the last witnesses called by Depp’s team to testify in the trial after having previously worked with both Heard and Depp.

The nurse testified that she first met Heard in August 2014, and in her notes she described Heard reporting 'substance abuse including an addiction to cocaine and liquor'. At that time, however, Heard said she had been off cocaine for a 'couple of years'.

Falati also wrote that Heard admitted to a 'history of anxiety, eating disorder, attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, codependency issues and occasional insomnia'.

Notes described Heard's feelings of 'insecurity and jealousy' when she was away from Depp, though Falati said this wasn’t a constant theme throughout the time she knew Heard.
