Woman Takes Dog To New Groomer And It Goes Very Wrong

Woman Takes Dog To New Groomer And It Goes Very Wrong

“They took the shaving part literally."

Sometimes when you go to the hairdresser's or barber's you don't end up walking out with exactly what you'd envisaged, but usually it's nothing worse than a fringe that's a few millimetres too short or a fade that's not as neat as you'd prefer.

But at least you haven't ever ended up like this dog, whose owner was shocked to find the shave she asked for was taken a little too 'literally'.

The owner, Hannah, tweeted to explain what happened, writing: "Ok so my dog was way over due for a haircut so finally we took him to a new grooming place to get it done.

"We said 'He needs to be shaved just ENOUGH so he wouldn't shed as much anymore'.

"They took the shaving part literally.

"YALL THE SECOND PICTURE I CANT."

Look. At. Him. The poor doggo.

Of course, with the viral world being the way it is, many people were quick to warn Hannah and others against shaving huskies in such a way.

Someone who said they were a certified groomer wrote: "Any professional groomer knows not to shave down a double coat because it ruins the dogs insulation & cooling system. This isn't ur fault or abuse just a misunderstanding. If you need pointers on products 2 use dm me!"

Another person said: "Pls be careful because huskies can go into shock from losing their fur like that."

A third added: "This is actually really bad for huskies. Their fur is what keeps them cool during the summer because it regulates their temperature. Any trained groomer should have known that..."

However, in later updates, Hannah assured us all her dog was 'completely fine', despite his unfortunate haircut.

"I do understand the wrong in this, however it's not like I did this myself," she wrote.

"We don't understand why the trained groomer went this far BUT I wouldn't put this up if he wasn't okay. He's doing perfectly fine, 10/10 still the best pup ever."

Someone else defended Hannah by saying people were just being 'dramatic', commenting: "That dog aight fam... His owners will take good care of him and his fur will grow back... happy end to a great story... y'all be too dramatic... trust he living a way better life than what his ancestors had pulling sleds in snow all damn day... Lol."

While some sympathised with the good boy - with one person tweeting "BRUH THEY AINT EVEN FADE THE BOY IN!" - others joined the conversation by revealing their dog had also suffered the same fate:

The poor fella. It's okay though, it'll grow back... Right?
