Right now, Aussies nationwide are being called upon to take part in the comfiest time of year.

Whether you're a student or a working professional on the nine-to-five grind, we want to see you fashioning on those eye masks, silk bottoms, sweatpants, boxers and cosy uggs.

I mean, this is honestly a dream of mine - to roll out of bed and rock up to work with my very best sleepwear that would even make some of the biggest sleeping beauties envious.

However, did you know that purely by wearing your pyjamas, you can help children in foster care and their education?

Through the Love of Learning Program, volunteer mentors called ‘Pyjama Angels’ are recruited, screened, trained and then matched with a child in care and spend time with them once a week to engage in learning-based activities.

From reading books aloud with their child, playing educational games or helping kids with homework, Pyjama Angels help these vulnerable children reach their fullest potential despite a fragile start.

But with the money raised from National Pyjama Day, you’ll be helping this very noble organisation offer learning skills to more than 1200 children and provide essential educational resources to them.

According to Anglicare Victoria, there are 48,000 children in foster care nationwide and this year, The Pyjama Foundation hopes to raise more than $950,000 to support children living in foster care through the Love of Learning Program through their biggest fundraiser - National Pyjama Day.

While National Pyjama Day is officially held on Friday, 21 July, you can host this special day anytime from July to September.

You, your friends and colleagues are cordially invited to the biggest slumber party of the year.

So, sign your workplace/team/friends up and set a fundraising goal to help The Pyjama Foundation inch closer to its mission.

It’s time to get out those comfy PJS, the fluffy slippers and make a donation or register to support children in foster care in Australia via: nationalpyjamaday.com.

Also, be sure to take plenty of sweet pics on your National Pyjama Day and, use the hashtags #NationalPyjamaDay2022 & #InMyPjs, and tag @thepyjamafoundation.
