If you’re looking to access experienced medical practitioners who specialise in treatments for patients who have been unable to find relief for chronic conditions through traditional options, then Balnce should be on top of your list.

The 24/7 telehealth clinic is your virtual connection to specialist doctors who will work with you to explore your options and determine the appropriate treatment for your condition and circumstances. This could include medicinal cannabis therapy.

It’s super simple to suss out whether Balnce is right for you.

To ensure you meet basic eligibility criteria, you’ll only need to answer three simple questions.

You’ll then have the choice to book a telehealth consult or speak with a Balnce Care Navigator first about your available options for the treatment that is best suited for your condition and circumstances.

There are tight restrictions around manufacture, supply and use of medicinal cannabis within Australia.

However, laws exist tallow prescribing and dispensing of medicinal cannabis products in specific circumstances. Legal access to medicinal cannabis means getting a prescription from a doctor.

Where appropriate, Balnce doctors can apply to the TGA for access on your behalf and explain why you need this type of medicine.

Most medicinal cannabis products are unapproved, which means the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has not assessed them for safety, quality or effectiveness.

The Australian government, in tandem with the Therapeutic Goods Administration and the states and territories, works to ensure that only safe and reliable medicines are available to be prescribed for treatment.

If your treatment plan includes a prescription, you’ll have the choice to take it to your regular pharmacist or have Balnce organise it for you.

Your Balnce consultant will then call you to see how the treatment is going, whether anything needs changing and to help you book a follow-up consultation if you need to.

Visit the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) website for important patient information relating to medicinal cannabis.
