Bloke proposes to partner mid-flight outside toilet cubicle

A proposal has left the internet with much to discuss, with many divided as to whether this Act of True Love was adorably cute or disgustingly gross.

On a flight to the coastal town of Cancun, Mexico, one passenger decided it was the perfect time to propose to his partner and get down on one knee.

Right outside the airplane bathroom.

In a TikTok, which thay has now gone viral, the man waits on his knee, ring in hand, for his partner while she uses the plane's bathroom facilities.

As she leaves the bathroom, other passengers on the plane cheer and laugh while others have been recruited to hold up signs that read,: “Will you marry me?”

The bride-to-be seems completely surprised, placing both hands over her mouth.

“Oh my god!” she says with a huge smile on her face.

Other passengers throughout the plane can be heard saying, “Just say yes” in the background.

Holding back tears, she says yes before embracing her now fiancé.

“It’s the entire flight’s participation for me,” commented one user on TikTok, which now has over 3.1 million views on the social media app.

“This is one of the most honest proposals I have seen. So natural, not those ones crying and acting like they didn’t expect it,” said another.

“I think I love this one. I'm not a fan of dramatic proposals, but I really love this. No drama. Filled with real people not staged audience,” a third commented.

However, not everyone thought the airplane bathroom proposal was romantic.

“Imagine taking a dump to come out and everyone recording this,” said one user sharing the video on Twitter where it has 13.5 views.

“Don’t anyone ever do this to me,” said one viewer.

“This is embarrassing, I would have been annoyed,” read another of the comments.

“I woulda been right back in that bathroom,” said another.

Either way, this video definitely brings another meaning to the phrase “love is in the air”.
