Brooklyn Beckham's pizza-making skills come under fire days after he claimed he was a chef

The aspiring chef has left social media users divided

Brooklyn Beckham has caused quite the stir on social media after he showed off his questionable pizza-making skills - days after he told TikToker Daniel Mac he was a chef.

The 23-year old has left his 14.3 million followers divided and questioning his culinary skills after showcasing the 'undercooked' pizza on Instagram. See what you make of it below:

In the video, which has racked up over 77,000 likes, Beckham can be seen making the pizza dough from scratch, before he prepares the tomato sauce.

He then rolls out his dough, tops it up with the sauce and adds some mozzarella cheese and fried mushrooms, before popping it into the oven.

The pizza is served with fresh basil leave before Beckham tucks and enjoys a slice of his latest creation.

While Beckham may have enjoyed the pizza, his fans were less than impressed and took to the comments to share their criticism.

One user said: "The poorest looking pizza I've ever seen in my life."

Another user added: "Just not a cook, not a chef. Plus way too much crust on that dough with canned tomatoes on it."

The use of canned tomatoes was slammed by many. Another user wrote: "Is your base sauce seriously tinned tomatoes and raw garlic?"

However, many users were quick to defend him, with one user pointing out that they 'don't know a single Italian chef who doesn't use them'.

Others pointed out that the use of canned tomatoes made Beckham's recipe cheap and accessible to everyone.

"He's cooking for everyone! Ingredients not expensive and that's a plus surely. You'd likely moan if he used expensive ingredient. The lad can't win," said one Instagram user.

The son of former footballer David and ex-spice girl Victoria has made it known that he has a passion for cooking and hopes to pursue a career as a chef.

Last week, Beckham caused considerable confusion after he told a TikToker he makes a living as a chef.

He was approached by social media star Daniel Mac who asked what the 23-year-old did for a living.

Brooklyn responded to the question: "Um, I'm a chef."

The comments of the video were filled with people mocking Brooklyn.

One user wrote: "What do you do for a living?" "My parents are rich so I just kinda vibe."

Another wrote: "Born into a multimillionaire family and now married to a billionaire's daughter. But he's a chef!!"

David and Victoria Beckham have a combined net worth of £380 million. The 23-year old's wife Nicole Peltz has a net worth of £42 million while the Peltz family net worth stretches to an eye-watering £1.3 billion.

The eldest Beckham child has had a number of different careers already.

At 16, he decided to become a photographer, before he began pursuing modelling in 2014.

In 2017, he enrolled at the Parsons School of Design in New York but left after a year because he was homesick.

More recently he has spoken about wanting to open a pub in LA and told Variety he would 'literally die' for cooking.
