Brooklyn Beckham reckons he has more than 70 tattoos dedicated to his wife Nicola

Brooklyn Beckham reckons he has more than 70 tattoos dedicated to his wife Nicola

His latest tat is an ode to the very special day he shared with his new wife

Brooklyn Beckham has got another tattoo dedicated to his new wife Nicola Peltz – marking his apparent 70th inking in the collection to the love of his life.

And as if his wedding band wasn’t a big enough symbol, this time he’s got the word ‘married’ written across the side of his hand.

In a recent interview, the eldest child of Victoria and David Beckham said he now thinks that around 70 out of his 100 tattoos are dedicated to his wife.

These include his wife’s name on his neck, as well as an illustration of her eyes.

He even got the words of a love letter she wrote to him tattooed on the back of his neck, which said: “My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious. I want you to know how deeply loved you are. You have the kindest heart I've ever met and I hope I never go a day without your love.

“I think you are so incredible. Just know we can get through it all together if you breathe slow and trust. I love you beyond.

“Love always, your future wifey."

It might be hard for him to read it on the back of his neck, but it’s a sweet gesture.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his new ‘married’ tat, Brooklyn told USA Today: “I kind of was just like, ‘Oh. We’re married, why not?

“It wasn’t a thing I thought about for months. I got married five months ago, why not?”

He’s clearly following in his father’s footsteps in his love of ink.

The former pro footballer is estimated to have around 80 tattoos – although he always chooses a consistent style so they all look uniform.

But Brooklyn said when he surprised Nicola with his new ink, she 'got tears in her eyes'.

He added: “She always cried when I get her another tattoo.

“I always love to surprise her with new ink.”

But there were mixed reactions to his decision on social media.

“Just one tattoo dedicated to a partner seems excessive to me.  I'm not saying it is, but 70 is definitely overdoing it,” said one Facebook user.

Someone else said: “Your body.. but 70 dedicated to her is obsessive.”

Others were concerned about what he’d do if they ever broke up.

Another commented: “That’s an obsession, what’s gonna happen if they break up, that’s foolish to adorn your body with so many tattoos dedicated to one person, not healthy at all.”

And another wrote: “That's going to be super awkward if you get divorced.”

“Man is he going to be sore if they get divorced,” said another user.

Someone else simply wrote: “Whatever happened to flowers and candy.”

Brooklyn, 23, and Nicola, 27, got married in April this year after meeting at Coachella four years ago.

They had a three-day party in Palm Beach with 500 guests and had their first dance to Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’.
