As you're probably aware, Adele has recently come roaring out of the shadows, as she prepares to release her first album in six years.

She marked her return with two cover stories for the American and British editions of Vogue magazine.

The covers made quite the splash, but the singer was typically frank in her assessment of them.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Australian radio station KIIS-FM, the 33-year-old said: "I didn't see the final covers till everyone else did.

"I had such a great time on those shoots, that I sort of knew I would glow in the photos. I was really happy and had so much fun...

"I love that there was such a juxtaposition on those as well, one with my t**s out and one with me looking like Emily Blunt."

Blunt indeed.

Speaking to Vogue, she said people more commonly compare her to American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson - and she can see it.

She said: "But I do [look like her], it's actually quite intense."

However, she reckons she looks more like Blunt.

"Only the forehead," she explained.

Oprah Winfrey will interview Adele as part of a two-hour special marking the singer's return to the spotlight.

Adele: One Night Only will feature a concert performance of songs from her upcoming fourth album 30, which is due to be released on 19 November.

The Grammy and Brit Award winner will also perform songs from her back catalogue, which includes hits such as 'Hello', 'Set Fire To The Rain', 'Someone Like You' and the Bond theme 'Skyfall'.

An announcement on social media read: "An evening to remember is coming your way. Don't miss out, we're counting the days. Every song you want & new ones to hear.

"Like no other, she knew we needed her this year. Emotional, powerful, surprising... oh wait did we mention there's an interview with Oprah!?"

It will be broadcast on Sunday 14 November on the CBS Television Network. Details of a UK broadcast have not yet been confirmed.
