The horrific revelations keep coming in the trial for Marc Rieben, who stands accused of killing his former beauty queen wife, Kristina Joksimovic.
The father-of-two is in court suspected of killing Joksimovic, after her father discovered her dismembered head back in 2024.
Rieben shared a statement in court, addressing his late wife's family: "I have caused my family immeasurable suffering. Why? Why did I fail? Why couldn't I prevent it? Why couldn't I stop her from dying at my hands? I loved my wife with all my heart and believed in a future together.
"It haunts me day and night. What I did is absolutely unforgivable, and I take full responsibility. I deeply regret it, and I apologise."

Now, a court-appointed expert has told the court about his professional diagnosis for Rieben and his mental state.

Professor Frank Urbaniok revealed in court that he has diagnosed the alleged murderer with narcissistic traits and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
The expert told Judge Schmid that Rieben used 'almost meticulous precision' for the alleged killing.
He pointed out how after his wife died, Rieben took the couple's two young children out for dinner.
The father was seen acting as if nothing was wrong and that nothing had happened.
Urbaniok said: "I have been working as an expert witness for 33 years and overseen 5,000 cases.
"I have seen many people who have committed homicides against intimate partners. But I have never seen anything like this before."
Rieben is accused of using garden tools to kill and dismember his wife, before shockingly pureeing her remains in a blender.
Following her death he was charged with murder and desecration of the dead.

Rieben admitted grabbing his wife by the throat, but insisted her death was 'an accident'.
According to the Daily Mail, the prosecution told the court they believe the 'cruel' husband spent hours dismembering her body before dissolving parts of her in around 10 litres of bleach.
"The man's behaviour after the crime was almost beyond belief in its cruelty and absurdity," they said.
"The man acted systematically and with a plan; his behaviour demonstrated the full extent of his hatred for his wife."
The indictment, seen by the outlet, alleges the motive was Rieben's refusal to divorce Kristina.
It alleges he grabbed his wife by the neck and strangled her using a 'ribbon-like' device, and it is claimed he also punched and kicked his wife as he killed her 'perfidiously, cruelly and in cold blood' The prosecution have called it an 'agonising' death.

They said he acted 'knowingly and intentionally, in full awareness and from a selfish attitude and mindset characterised by a need for control, resentment, revenge and massive anger'.
The expert added: "The accused is an intellectual, a very strategic thinker. He wants to control everything and insists on rules being followed. The victim, on the other hand, was more emotional."
Shockingly, Rieben also revealed that he has paid £94,218 to his two children and his wife's parents 'as a sign of remorse'.
He told them in court "It would be wonderful if you could use it to do something that brings some lightness into your lives."
Rieben said he waited until now because 'this is the first opportunity I'll have to see the bereaved. This offer is made regardless of what the court decides. I simply want to show my support. It's a gesture.
'Human lives cannot be replaced; I can only offer my sympathy,' he continued.
'I would like to express my deepest sympathy to all those affected for their suffering. [Kristina] is gone. Her cool zest for life, her radiant smile – simply gone. The world has collapsed'.
The court case continues.
