World's Richest Man Says It 'Sucks' Having So Much Attention On Him At The Moment

Elon Musk says the world's attention has gone 'supernova' but he's going to put his head down and focus on 'useful things'.

Elon Musk isn’t happy with the amount of media scrutiny he is facing right now.

The 51-year-old took to Twitter following claims he was involved in a high-profile affair (which he denies) and expressed how he's feeling the heat at the moment.

“The amount of attention on me has gone supernova, which super sucks. Unfortunately, even trivial articles about me generate a lot of clicks," he wrote.

Will try my best to be heads down focused on doing useful things for civilization.

“Will try my best to be heads down focused on doing useful things for civilization.”

It doesn’t help that the man has no filter and seemingly tweets whatever thought that crosses his mind.

The tweet comes off the back of the SpaceX and Tesla being at the centre of a news article that claimed he had an affair with a Google co-founder’s wife.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Musk allegedly engaged in a brief affair with Sergey Brin’s wife, Nicole Shanahan.

The news outlet claimed this interaction cause the Google co-founder to file for divorce earlier this year and abruptly end his long-time friendship with Musk.

The pair have been friends for years and have both steadily increased their dramatically enviable wealth.

Brin even loaned Tesla $500,000 (AUD $718,230 or £414,330) in 2008 during the global financial crisis.

However, Brin reportedly ordered his financial investors to sell his personal investments in Musk’s company shortly after he filed for divorce from Shanahan, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ in January.

Despite reports, Musk strongly refuted the affair claims, writing: “This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night!

“I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic.”

Musk also told a similar statement to the New York Post: “Nicole and Sergey’s divorce has absolutely nothing to do with me.

“I am sure both Nicole and Sergey would confirm that.

"I spoke with both Sergey and Nicole about this and they say the story isn’t coming from them, so [it] must be a case of broken telephone, two or three layers removed.”

He added: “And, not to dodge the question, I have only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around.

“We were not romantically involved in any way.”

It seems that Tesla CEO has more drama in his personal life than an entire season of Succession.
