Female Boxer Attacks Bloke Who Threw Pint Over Her After She Rejected Him

A former female boxer unleashed a flurry of kicks and punches on a man after he poured a drink over her head. Watch the footage below:

Punter Chainarong Mareejan, 35, was caught on CCTV pouring a drink over 24-year-old Pareploy Saeaia’s head at a Bangkok restaurant because she turned down his advances.

Little did he know that Saeaia had been practising Thai boxing from a young age, although that probably became quite clear when she chased him outside and started pelting him with kicks.

According to MailOnline, the pair had been eating separately at a street food restaurant in the city following a night of partying.

Mareejan tried to clink glasses with Saeaia and asked for her number, but she declined his advances, prompting him to stroll over to Saeaia’s table and pour a drink over her head.

Saeaia - who had won ‘dozens’ of professional Muay Thai fights in her younger years - leapt up and chased Mareejan into an alley behind the restaurant, where she gave him a piece of her mind via a right hook.

Friends of both Saeaia and Mareejan tried to intervene, but the former was having none of it, and continued to try and strike a sheepish Mareejan with her leg.

After footage of the brawl emerged online, Mareejan was swiftly sacked from his job at the five star Swissotel, while both faced police fines for their behaviour.

Mareejan was made to cough up 500 baht (£11.56) for pouring his beer over Saeaia and another 500 baht for affray. Saeaia was charged 500 baht for assault and 500 for affray.

Speaking to Thai PBS after the footage started doing the internet rounds, Saeaia, who now works as a boxing coach, encouraged other women to take up martial arts as a form of self defence.

She said: “I think self-defence is important for women. Although we women may not be physically stronger than men, at least we have self-defence skills.

“When we do encounter such situations, at least it can help protect us, especially when we encounter criminals.”

As for her run-in with Mareejan, Saeaia explained: “I didn’t start the fight. Well, I did physically abuse him, but I thought, do I let him abuse me and do nothing?

“I think Thai laws should change, because I think it’s not fair for me as a victim. Are [victims] not allowed to respond nor to stick up for themselves?“

LADbible has approached Thai police for comment.
