Parents Are Claiming Their Kids’ Cadbury Advent Calendars Are Completely ‘Empty’

Waking up on 1 December can be rubbish for many reasons - it's absolutely bloody baltic for starters, and it's usually pitch black as well. Depending on what day it falls on, you might even have to head off to work, or head out on a frosty school run.

BUT the saving grace is that you're finally in the very same month as Christmas, which is nothing short of fantastic. And because of this, you're also able to crack open that Advent calendar for the very first time, which honestly is the most effective way to get us to jump out of bed in the morning.

However, some parents were surprised to find that their kids didn't get the month off to the chocolatey festive start they'd envisaged, claiming their children had opened up their Advent calendars to find they were completely empty.

Several mums and dads have taken to Twitter to express their frustration, with many saying their kids were 'disappointed' after opening up their calendars.

Some also showed that they'd pulled the plastic trays out from behind the windows and found there were no chocolates whatsoever.

A statement from Cadbury, provided to LADbible, said customers are urged to speak to the chocolate giant's customer care team if they face any issues with their Advent calendar products.

The statement said: "We're sorry to hear about the issues some of our fans are facing with chocolate missing from inside the Cadbury Dairy Milk Advent Calendar, the Cadbury Heroes Advent Calendar and Cadbury Dairy Milk Santa's Workshop Advent Calendar, and would like to reassure people that quality is of paramount importance to us.

"We encourage any customers who have received an Advent calendar that is not up to standard to speak to our customer care team as soon as possible."

To all the people complaining about getting Bounty chocolates two days running in their Celebrations Advent calendar: this might just put things into perspective a little. After all, at least you got something...
