A content creator took it upon himself to find the true effects of multivitamins and found out if taking them can have long-term health benefits.

You've probably seen multivitamins around, usually in pill form, with their primary goal being to fill nutritional gaps in people's diets.

It helps to ensure that you're having the right amount of essential nutrients in your diet, while also supporting your health overall.

Some people take multivitamins if they have dietary restrictions or absorption problems which are linked with age, as well as if they have increased nutrient needs.

Many also believe that multivitamins can boost immunity, improve bone health, and even help with skin repair, among other perceived benefits.

But is it worth going out of your way to splash the cash on the supplement?

Known on YouTube as Tech Workplace, the content creator explained that he has been feeling down lately, while also getting dark circles around his eyes and noticing dry skin on his scalp.

He noted that this could be a vitamin deficiency, and so embarked on a 30-day journey of taking multivitamins in the hope that his problems could be helped.

Day one

After one pill, he didn't feel too much of a difference, though he claimed that 'you can feel differences within a couple of hours or one day', though it typically takes up to a couple of weeks for the supplement to start kicking in.

Experts at Boots claim that it can even take one to three months.

He noted in the video that you can get all the key vitamins you need from regular food, with multivitamins primarily for those with diet deficits.

Day eight

The YouTuber observed: "I wish there were a little bit more of a visible physical change. I still have these dark spots around my eyes, but I do feel more energised, so that’s pretty great."

He noted that results from a blood test showed that he had a vitamin D defiviency, as well as a B6 deficiency, something he anticipated as he has a vegan diet.

"I hope these levels will rise as I continue to take my vitamins and start to feel better over the next couple of days," he said.

Day 20

"I definitely feel like I have more energy. I’ve really been enjoying exercising lately, and I’ve gone rock climbing a couple of times, which has been really great and a lot of fun," the tech YouTuber revealed.

This time, he said that he has 'started to notice' a number of physical improvements too.

Day 30

Playing a side-by-side comparison, he noted that there were no major visible changes despite his reduced scalp flakiness.

"Obviously, my beard is a little bit longer here, but physically I don’t see that many changes. I still have these dark spots around my eyes. However, the flakiness on my scalp is completely gone," he revealed.

The social media personality said that he also took omega-3 supplements to target that issue, claiming: "It seems like that combination helped remedy the problem."

While noting his spike in energy levels, he added: "Of course, I can’t say for sure that this is entirely because of the multivitamins, but I genuinely have much more energy to do my exercises every day."

In the end, the YouTuber said he planned to keep taking the multivitamins due to his higher energy levels, though he didn't recommend any particular brand.
