Horror As Fan Falls From Top Balcony At Harry Styles Gig On To Crowd

A man fell from the Club Deck as the former One Direction star performed at the city's Ibrox stadium

A Harry Styles show ended in tragedy last night after a crowd member fell from the top balcony in Glasgow.

The incident unfolded at around 10.15pm on 11 June as the former One Direction star performed at the city's Ibrox Stadium.

Police said the man fell from the top tier Club Deck into a stand below before the show had finished.

Around 50,000 people were in attendance, with some saying the man fell as Styles performed his song Kiwi.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told The Scottish Sun: “Officers were made aware of a man falling from a club deck at a premises on Edmiston Drive, Glasgow at around 10.15pm on Saturday, 11 June, 2022.

“There were no suspicious circumstances and the man was seen to by medical staff.”

The condition of the man, who hasn't been named, is unknown at the time of writing.

A number of fans took to Twitter to express their concern over the incident, with one writing: "Still in shock after @Harry_Styles concert @ibrox. A guy fell from the tier above onto the main stand one row in front of us.

"I had to run to main door at street level to bring help. Everyone in shock around us and so upset. Hope guy is OK."

Another wrote: "We were a few rows back and I was looking straight that way when the person fell. Hopefully shielded my niece from the worst. I'm still in a bit of shock tbh. Hope the person is ok."

A third added: "My 15 year old saw the guy fall and thought it was a blow up doll at first. Just horrific. Hope he and everyone else are ok. Horrible ending to a very special night."

"Sadly we saw someone fall from the club deck at Harry Styles tonight in Glasgow," commented a fourth. "Praying they are ok".

Elsewhere on Twitter, many fans called out the organisers of Styles' Love On Tour opening night as crowds were left queuing for hours to enter the stadium.

"Queuing at Harry Styles is an actual shambles it’s been 2 hours and still no where near the front," wrote one.

Another said: "Never been to such a disorganised event stewards didn’t know what they were doing complete joke wait time absolutely ridiculous! Had to check us in manually as ticket scanners not working."

"The organisation for Harry Styles concert tonight is the worst I’ve seen in 40 years of gig going," declared a third.

LADbible has contacted Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Ibrox Stadium for further comment.
