Jake Paul Begins MMA Training Despite Failed UFC Negotiations With Dana White

Jake Paul appears to have started training in Mixed Martial Arts after his failed negotiation with the UFC president Dana White.

Jake Paul appears to have started training in Mixed Martial Arts after his failed negotiations with the UFC president Dana White.

The YouTuber is currently 5-0 in his career as a professional boxer, winning his last three fights against ex-UFC stars Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, with Woodley being beaten by Paul twice.

Jake Paul has beaten every man he has boxed, and the 24-year-old former Disney star seems he’s about to crossover to the world of MMA after he posted footage of himself practicing leg kicks at the gym

The YouTube star recently called out Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal “for leaving this arena” during one of his recent fights, while he stated he would agree to fight the latter fighter under MMA rules if White agreed to increase pay for fighters to $50,000 as well as guaranteeing fighters 50 percent of the UFC's annual revenues.

He also asked for White to provide long term healthcare to all fighters, explaining 'you previously said brain damage is part of the gig... imagine the NFL said that'.

Towards the end of the negotiation - Paul told White he had 'five days to accept' and from there he must implement the points by 31 March 2022.

The boxer then changed the terms of the offer - specifically reducing the amount fighters are paid to $40,000 as well as asking for 40 percent revenue for the first five years as well as long term healthcare.

Paul’s negotiations with White were seemingly in vain, with the fighter now turning to MMA training.

"1st day training kicks. Doubted every step of the way,” Paul wrote on the post.

“But kick down the doors of the doubters.”

In the post, Paul also tagged Bellator and the Professional Fighters League (PFL) – the UFC’s two biggest rival promotions.

The PFL then responded with a gif that appeared to suggest approval of Paul’s technique, before retweeting two PFL fighters who praised the YouTuber for his kicks.
