Jet2 is offering seven-day holidays for as little as 1p as part of its returning ‘Bid for a Break’ promotion that offers holidaymakers the chance to pay mere pennies for their next getaway.

As part of the campaign, which kicked off at the end of last month, there will be a new holiday available to bid on every week, with sunny hotspots up for grabs including the Balearics, Canary Islands, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.

To get involved, hopefuls simply need to download the Jet2holidays app and add in their bid to the nearest pence.

If they are the only user to bid that specific amount, and that price is the lowest, they will buy the holiday for that same price.

After the campaign launched last year, 23 customers managed to bag themselves cut-price holidays in the Canary Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, the Algarve and Turkey - with successful bids starting from just 2p.

The destination changes each week, with the current trip up for grabs being Gara Suits Golf & Spa in Playa de las Americas, Tenerife, ending at midday tomorrow (12 May).

Jet2 says: “Bid to be in with the chance of winning a seven-night holiday for two adults to the four-star Gara Suites Golf & Spa in Playa de las Americas, Tenerife. What are you waiting for? Download our app and bid before midday on 12 May 2022!”

Upcoming bids also include Aqua Nevis Club Hotel in Sunny beach, Bulgaria (from 16 May), Kiani Beach Resort in Chania, Crete (from 23 May) and Abora Catarina by Lopesan Hotels in Gran Canaria (from 30 May).

According to EdinburghLive, some previous winners won trips to Greece, Cyprus and Turkey after bidding just £1.60, £4.15 and £14.46 respectively.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “With international travel now fully unlocked, we know how much UK holidaymakers want to get away to enjoy some much-needed sunshine, and we are delighted to relaunch our Bid for a Break campaign.

“The campaign was hugely successful last year and now, thanks to its return, we are once again giving holidaymakers the chance to get away in a fun way for potentially only a few pence.

“Based on the popularity of the campaign last year, we know that holidaymakers will be equally excited to see Bid for a Break return.

“With some fantastic holidays available to bid on, make sure you get involved and place your bid.”
