Sean also wrote in the caption: "Very unfortunate news to share. Sending love to the family of Tristen Nash."

Tributes continue to pour in for the family, with one writing on Twitter: "Oh dear God. Absolutely tragic. Praying for both of them.

"I cannot imagine losing a child. My heart is absolutely shattered for them."

Another said: "Awful news. My condolences go out to the Nash family. Kevin always spoke so highly of him."

Meanwhile, Matt Hardy said: "My thoughts are with Kevin Nash & his family following the passing of his son. It's absolutely tragic."

The star's pal Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman shared a picture of the pair together, writing: "My heart is in a million pieces thinking about what 1 of my best friends in life is going through. IU 4-Life Kev."

Kevin kicked off his career with the WCW before switching to the WWE, known as the WWF at the time, in 1993.

Although he used to perform under the alter-ego Diesel, he later switched to his real name and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2015 and in 2020 as a member of the New World Order.

Tristen was the only son of Kevin and Tamara's, and was pursuing a career in music and podcasting.

As well as being the singer and songwriter for band The Builders, the 26-year-old had recently gotten engaged to a woman named Savanna Kern.
