KSI has opened up on his rollercoaster week, in which he lost nearly $3 million dollars (£2.8 million) worth of crypto amid a massive market crash.

For those who still don't really understand crypto/can't afford or maybe just don't want to invest, consider yourselves lucky for the time being.

The news came as the cryptocurrency market took a huge hit, with Bitcoin falling by 12 percent, according to Forbes.

Unfortunately for KSI, no currency took a harder hit than Luna, and the YouTube sensation lost 97 percent of his investment in a matter of 24 hours.

Luna had previously been listed as one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies in the market; now, lots of people seem to have lost out.

Well, KSI has now opened up on what has been a whirlwind of a week for him.

What a week. I went to my hamsters funeral, performed in front of thousands of people at Wembley Arena with Anne Marie, my 3 million dollars worth of Luna is now worth a few $100.

And it’s only Thursday.

He tweeted: "What a week. I went to my hamsters funeral, performed in front of thousands of people at Wembley Arena with Anne Marie, my 3 million dollars worth of Luna is now worth a few $100.

"And it’s only Thursday."

Despite the huge setback, the YouTube boxer switched to a mindset of being grateful, rather than disappointed.

The optimistic 28-year-old wrote: "I just put 2.8 million in that Luna buy and it’s worth less than 50k. But that’s ok because I’m not dead. I’ve got my family, my friends and my vigorous work ethic haha.

"Before crypto, money was a driving force in my mindset. During my time, I made a lot of money, and lost a lot of money. I went from euphoric to depressed. But soon I became numb to it all and realised that money simply isn’t everything.

"Like I’m just in such a better place than I was last year. I guess you’ll see in the doc, but I was so lifeless last year.

"But anyway, I’ve learned a lot during this crypto phase. Was a lost soul before it, and now I’m more focused and happier than ever."

Despite KSI's positive outlook on the situation, as you can imagine, others have been left badly affected.

On the r/TerraLuna sub-Reddit feed, one user wrote: "Yup. Lost $15,000. I should’ve cashed [out] when it was $100 then I would have been at up $25,000. But I got greedy hoping to get more money so I can at least afford a downpayment for a house for my family. I guess no house and savings then."

A second commented: "I lost all my life savings. Had bought Luna at 85$ Not sure what to do. Lost around 5000$ it might be small amount for some but it was all I had. Someone please advise what should I do next!?"

A third added: "I want to share my condolences for every single one of you. from my personal experience in crypto, with a stagnant cash loss.

"It’s critical that you must acknowledge that nothing in this world out weighs this Life that we live."
