Landlord does double take as Keanu Reeves walks into his pub

A Northamptonshire landlord was shocked to find Keanu Reeves amongst his punters.

If you didn't already love Keanu, Danny Ricks, manager of the Fox and Hounds pub at Charwelton, explained that the actor is just as 'lovely' in person.

The iconic actor has even been spotted elsewhere in the area, surprising a bride and groom on their wedding day.

Look, they say you shouldn't meet your heroes but, if there's one exception to that rule, it's Keanu.

We've heard nothing but good things about the guy and his recent drop into a small village pub was no exception.

As Danny said: "Just everything nice you would think about him was all true."

Keanu was more than happy to spend some time with the locals, with Danny adding that he was 'down to earth' and 'really nice to everyone.'

The Matrix actor even "stood and took photos with customers and staff," the BBC reports.

Probably a good thing they got pictures too because if your pal came back from the pub claiming they'd just seen Keanu, you'd never believe them.

Danny didn't believe it at first either, and said he was to do 'a double-take' when Keanu first walked in - the manager even thought to himself: 'that looks a lot like Keanu Reeves,' we mean, he's not wrong.

But, eventually, he 'clocked' it was the actor after overhearing Keanu discussing scripts with others at their table.

And, for those of you who love knowing what other people are having for dinner, boy, do we have a treat for you.

According to the manager, Keanu went for "a Caesar salad to start and then a falafel dish," both sound choices.

Luckily, Danny and his colleague, Laura James, kept it professional - until Keanu left of course, then we imagine they were ringing all of their mates.

Still, that's not the first time Keanu has popped up in an unlikely place.

This past weekend Keanu gave one happy couple the surprise of a lifetime when he attended their wedding reception at Fawsley Hall, where he'd been staying.

According to Newsweek, the husband began talking to Keanu at the bar and explained that he'd just gotten married.

He, naturally, said that Keanu was welcome to join in on the celebrations and the actor said he's pop by later.

True to his word, the actor chatted with the bride and groom, even taking pictures with them and their guests.

And, honestly, after hearing all that we're convinced Keanu is one of the kindest celebs out there.
