Keanu Reeves Reveals The Only Two Celebrities He's Asked For Autographs

The actor revealed that he approached two icons in the past

While it's fairly common for us 'norms' to ask famous people for their autographs, you'd think celebs would be above it.

Well, apparently Keanu Reeves, aka the 'nicest man in Hollywood', isn't a stranger to getting a little starstruck every now and again.

The Matrix star recently admitted to Stephen Colbert that there were only two celebs he'd ever asked for their signature.

During a quick-fire quiz about his life, the 57-year-old said: "Lou Reed.

"But it wasn't for me — it was for a friend, and [Lou] was cool about it.

"It was [on] a little piece of paper, and it was [in] blue ink… Yeah, it was good. It just said, 'Lou Reed.' "

"It would have been really disappointing if it didn't say 'Lou Reed'," joked Colbert, to which Keanu replied: "I know, but it could have said, 'All my best' or ... "

And who was second on his very exclusive list?

Jumping in before the next question, Keanu remembered: "Oh, I asked for another one, George Carlin."

Keanu worked with the comedy icon on Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

"I'm so jealous. I'm such a fan. And that was for you?" asked the host.

"Yeah," said Keanu, "He wrote … I think it was, 'Dear Keanu, f**k you!' "

But while he thought that was a special message just for him, Keanu later found out that it wasn't so unique.

He added: "And I always thought that he wrote that for men and then I met someone else who said that he wrote the same thing to them! Anyway, beautiful."

Ouch.

Elsewhere in the interview, the actor also discussed the origin of the 'Sad Keanu' meme.

The image of the pretty morose-looking star sitting alone on a bench while tucking into a sandwich caught the hearts and minds of his fans around the world, with many using it to illustrate the darkest moments in their lives.

Well, Keanu has finally had his say on it, and given us a little insight into what was going on when it was taken.

Presented with the photo, Keanu simply said: "I’m just eating a sandwich, man!"

And when asked if he was actually feeling a bit down in the dumps, he admitted: "I had some stuff going on."
