But people have also been horrified by the meal in the background.

Restaurants around the world are always looking for fun and creative ways to serve up their food.

Owners have tried to supplement a plate for virtually everything imaginable, but few have tried the humble pint glass.

While these vessels are designed to carry liquid, one Aussie pub decided it would be the perfect method to serve up their Guinness pie.

The New Sydney Hotel, located in Hobart, Tasmania, has gone viral after someone posted a picture of their $26 pie inside a Guinness pint glass.

The image was first uploaded to a Reddit page dedicated to recognising the eateries that serve up food on anything by a plate.

It's since made its way to a Twitter account whose sole purpose is highlighting terrible Guinness pints poured in London and people are scarred.

One person responding to the bizarre meal said: "The only shepherds pie you have to consume using a soil sampler."

Others joked they had 'reported' the post while different users suggested they were triggered by such an outrageous method of serving up food.

Hey, don't knock ingenuity. Plus, this pie could taste bloody delicious.

But there were also some people who pointed out the other disturbing meal in the background.

It appeared to be the pub's Squid and Chorizo dish that is served with tomato braised chickpeas, kale, fennel, gremolata.

There's no doubt that this is delicious, however the pinkish squid sitting on the edge of the plate is freaking everyone out.

The pub said on its website that 'we have always done things a little differently...' and you can say that again.

But keep in mind, this one picture doesn't encapsulate the quality of 'the best little pub in town' as they have overwhelming good reviews.

After nearly 1,000 comments on Google, the pub maintains a 4.6 out of 5 rating, which is pretty impressive.

People have praised the atmosphere, decor, food and all-round feel of the joint. So never judge a book by its cover.
