A daughter's final, heartwarming act to her dying dad has warmed hearts around Australia and the world.

Pennelope Ann filmed her and her family sharing one final drink with her terminally ill father, which turned out to be a Bundaberg rum and coke via a syringe.

In her now-viral TikTok video, she can be seen cracking open a can of Bundy. She then uses a syringe to suck up a small portion of the brown nectar of the Gods.

"I came prepared for the send-off,” she said in the footage. "Give him a little taste here."

Her mum then explains that they're about to give him his final drink.

"We brought you rum, Dad,’" Ms Ann said. "We’re going to put it in [a syringe] and put it in your mouth."

Pennelope was then seen bending over her father to squeeze the small amount of rum into his mouth.

She asked her dad if it tastes nice and he was seen managing to nod, which caused the two women to laugh.

"Hell yeah," Pennelope said in the clip.

The sweet moment was caught on film in a TikTok video, shared with the caption: "One last drink with Dad before his spirit returned to the universe. Until we cross paths again, old man. I love you."

The viral video has been watched nearly two million times, with thousands of comments reaching out with condolences and love as the Ann family navigate their loss.

One user said: "I’m a palliative care nurse and this is brilliant. May he rest in peace."

A second added: "Rest in peace. That’s an awesome send off and I hope his wife is doing okay [as it is] such a hard thing for her to go through. Condolences to all his loved ones."

A third user chipped in with a heartwarming note: "That is a guy who wanted to celebrate the life he had and so he should do it the way he wanted to. Sleep tight buddy."

Pennelope has spoken out since her dad's passing to thank those on TikTok who had reached out with kind words.

She also revealed that the 27-second clip was one of 'the last moments we had interaction with my dad'.

The short clip came from a longer video that she said she will always cherish.

She revealed that her father had been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a condition which impacts breathing, and had been in and out of hospital for a long time before his passing.
