We can all understand the temptation of a takeaway, especially after a night out. Sometimes you'll look at your bank account the morning after and wonder why £25 has been transferred to Abra Kebabra. Unfortunately, one unlucky lad woke up to find that £450 had disappeared from his Deliveroo account and he didn't get to eat a single cheesy chip. And he wasn't the only one. It turns out that Deliveroo accounts are being sold on the dark web for under £5, so if you've ordered a cheeky Nando's lately, you better double check your account.
According to Forbes, there have been a "significant number of customers" who have been affected by the hacks which has let criminals nab as much chicken and beer as they like using your hard-earned cash. Users are being advised to change their passwords and double check for any purchases they didn't make.
A Deliveroo spokesperson said: "Deliveroo takes online security extremely seriously and has robust measures both to protect our systems and members of the public who have had their passwords compromised outside of Deliveroo."

They continued: "Sadly cyber criminals rely on the fact that people reuse the same passwords on multiple online services and use data breaches on other sites to try gain access to Deliveroo accounts.
"There has been no breach of Deliveroo's internal systems.
"We continuously roll out measures to combat fraudsters and have introduced further security this year to help protect customers from fraudulent charges when their accounts have been accessed.
"These steps have made a huge difference and we will continue to actively support customers to strengthen their online security by using different passwords online."

Deliveroo has said that in most cases, the account holder will receive a full refund if they've noticed a transaction that they didn't make. This doesn't include transactions that they don't remember making because they had a few beers too many. Users are also being advised to change their passwords.
With the rise of Deliveroo and Just Eat, we've never had a many junk food options to choose from. One of the nation's favourite bakers, Greggs, has recently jumped on the bandwagon. That's right, you can now get a sausage roll delivered to your front door.
Unfortunately, the service is currently only available in three cities: London, Glasgow and Newcastle. So I'm afraid if you live elsewhere you're still going to have to get in line.
