Mia Khalifa Is Making Far More Money On OnlyFans Than She Ever Did In Porn

Mia Khalifa is raking in the big bucks after swapping her porn career for uploading her own content to OnlyFans.

This subscription-based platform is a favourite by media personalities, celebrities, adult entertainers, and influencers who sometimes offer private, X-rated content.

That includes former PornHub star Mia Khalifa.

According to the International Business Times, Khalifa is the highest-earning former porn star on the subscription site.

Khalifa recently admitted to Ziwe Fumudoh on her ShowTime series Ziwe that she pockets around USD $10,000 ($AUD 14,200, £8,200) per day from the subscription site.

Compared to the USD $12,000 ($AUD 17,000, £9,800) she made during her three month long porn career, you could say Khalifa is laughing all the way to the bank.

And she gets to pocket the lot instead of having to divvy up any money made with producers.

Khalifa has previously urged people not to get into the porn industry, stating that the videos she made will 'haunt' her until the day she dies.

"Long story short: don't do porn. And if you do, don't do it with a company," Khalifa said back in 2020.

"Do it for yourself, on your own terms."

She also called out porn users, urging them to be conscious of where their X-rated content comes from.

"If you consume porn, make sure it's ethical and not from giant corporations who profit off exploiting women," she said.

"Like your groceries, shop local and direct from the creators."

Khalifa joined the subscription-only site in late 2020.

While OnlyFans is mostly used to share explicit content, Khalifa's profile reads that hers is: "Safe for work, but spicy."

"I am finally growing into my self-confidence in who I am and the decisions I make for me, and this is my way of being myself outside the perimeters of conventional social media," she said after launching her OnlyFans account.

"Even though I will not be creating nude content, I am going to be treating this page like my Instagram without [the] terms of service."

She added: "I want to take my power back and just post what I want and what makes me feel good, and I'm just so thankful that y'all are along for this wild ride."

Khalifa entered the porn industry in October 2014 and quickly shot to notoriety. She became the most searched for performer on PornHub in December of that year.

She received heavy criticism, including death threats from Islamic groups in the Middle East, for featuring in one video wearing a hijab.

There was severe irony in this backlash because more than a quarter of her viewership came from the Middle East, according to PornHub data from 2015.

After only a few months in the industry, she left due to the negative attention she was receiving from the public.
