Netflix is launching a new feature that will hopefully end the arguments over what to watch.

Whether you're alone and apathetic or with a group of unagreeable people, it's not uncommon to spend a little too long scrolling through the streaming service.

You might click a hundred times before you settle on something that you find hidden in the genre sections.

But this could soon be a thing of the past as Netflix unveils the 'Play Something' option.

If you find yourself unable to pick an episode or movie, the streaming service will use its algorithm based off what you've watched in the past to find something.

Within seconds you'll be viewing a piece of new material that Netflix feels you'll enjoy. If it doesn't tickle your fancy then you can press a button that says 'Play Something Else'.

That option will open a 'brand new series or film', 'a series or film you're already watching', 'a series or film on your list', or 'an unfinished series or film you may want to revisit'.

The possibilities are endless.

Netflix unveiled the new feature in a blog post, where it said: "There are times when we just don't want to make decisions. A Friday evening after a long work week. A fridge full of food but nothing jumps out. A family movie night where no one can agree. We've all been there.

"Sometimes you just want to open Netflix and dive right into a new story. That's why we've created Play Something, an exciting new way to kick back and watch.

"When finding your next story, let the story find you. Whether you're in the mood for a new or familiar favorite, just 'Play Something' and let Netflix handle the rest. Easy."

The feature is available for users around the world and will hopefully end those messy arguments when you can't decide on something.
