People Are Ditching Charcuterie Boards And Opting For Snackleboxes

We're calling it. This is the greatest innovation to come to picnicking since the rug.

Love picnicking but find dragging a cheese board around a bit of a pain? We've got you, boo.

Let us introduce you to the greatest innovation to portable food since the picnic rug.

This, dear friend, is the Snacklebox.

You see, it's much like a tackle box you'd take for fishing.

But, instead of being chock-full of wriggly worms and sharp hooks, it's filled with snacks.

It's perfect if you want to take snacks on a boat. Or to a park. Or to a football game, if you're a Melbourne Demons fan.

According to a Google Search, the Snacklebox seems to have come to life in late 2021.

But, thanks to the wonder that is TikTok, it is now achieving fame and glory as an ingenious and viral idea.

There's plenty of fab Snacklebox videos knocking around on TikTok.

Our favourite, posted by an American woman named Skylar, shows off the pretty epic selection she and her mum made for her cousin's bachelorette party.

The now-viral video has over two million views, with thousands of commenters marvelling at the brilliance that is the Snacklebox.

One user said: "This is the best thing I’ve seen all week."

A second added: "A charcuterie tackle-box is the most southern thing I’ve ever seen. I’m so in."

A third chipped in with: "I'm sorry I think I'm in love."

Yeah, we're with you all. This is brilliance at its finest. Frankly, whoever came up with this needs to receive a Nobel Price in snack ingenuity.

One person on Twitter is obsessed as we are at the LADbible office, sharing the same video to Twitter with the caption: "Einstein. Curie. Turing. Tesla. And then this person."

Same, mate. Same.

This new snacking format is compact, practical, and allows you to bring bulk snacks to wherever your destination is.

It's a tick, tick, and tick from us.

So what should you include in your What should you pack in your Snacklebox? Well, let us expand before you just say 'snacks'.

Treat it like a charcuterie board.

Start with a meat, a cheese, and a carb, and build it out from there with pickles, olives, fruit, nuts, and any other snacky items you have just chilling in your cupboards.

Obviously keep them cool though if needed, and then take it to your next picnic and wow your mates with your brilliance.

We won't tell them you got the idea from us.
