A mother-of-three who went viral after running an entire Burger King restaurant on her own for 12 hours claims she has since been sacked.

Nykia Hamilton's impressive multitasking skills became quite the hot topic on social media in July after footage of her putting in a serious shift was shared to TikTok.

A customer filmed her running one of Burger King's branches in Columbia, South Carolina, completely solo and was left stunned when she realised that Nykia was 'doing everything by herself'.

"[She’s] doing the fries, the burger, the chicken sandwiches," the woman can be heard saying as Nykia, 25, was seen juggling various jobs - from manning the drive-thru to fulfilling the cleaning duties.

"She’s doing everything she needs to do to make sure everybody is okay in here," the customer added.

The clip of Nykia holding down the fort for 12 hours straight at the fast food chain subsequently went viral, as people couldn't believe that she was keeping the Burger King open by herself.

Social media users then dubbed her 'Burger King mom' after Nykia explained she is raising three children solo, too, saying: "At the end of the day, I do it for them."

"I've got three kids to take care of, I'm a single mother," she told WACH Fox 57. "I still got to feed them, and I've got a child about to go to school.

"You got to do what you got to do. I'm trying to do my best. I've got three babies and they depend on me. They love me. I be missing my own kids' lives, I work a lot.

"I am having to provide for them and I really don't be having time to spend with them, and it hurts me a lot. Hopefully one day I won't have to worry so much and I can actually be there for them."

According to Nykia, she had been left to run the Burger King restaurant by herself - despite only working there for around three months - as another employee 'quit' unexpectedly.

"I had to do the dishes, do prep, do the floors, do the front counter, drive-thru," she continued. "We just ain't got no employees, nobody wants to work no more."

The mum then 'shouted out' her general manager for giving her the opportunity to work for the fast food company, admitting it is 'hard to find a job with a [criminal record]'.

Explaining why she didn't abandon ship despite the staffing shortage, Nykia added: "By the grace of God, she gave me a job. So that's the only reason why I stayed. For her."

Her unwavering work ethic seemed to impress social media users, who were keen to offer the Burger King employee assistance if she needed it and also promised to follow along with her journey.

However, Nykia's story has apparently just taken a turn for the worse, as she shared a tearful TikTok video alleging that she has now been sacked by the fast food chain.

"[Burger King] fired me because I’ve been late because of my kids," the mother-of-three said. "My kids come first. Y’all don’t pay for no babysitter, or nothing."

She then went on to explain that losing her job was the icing on the cake after what she's dealt with since going viral, adding: "I’m already aggravated, I’m already depressed, all of this mental s***, and motherf****** f*****g with me, so leave me alone."

Nykia later launched a GoFundMe, which has so far raised $72,132 of its $90,000 target.

"I am a 25-year-old single mom of 3 who works 2 jobs," Nykia told donors. "I just went viral for working on TikTok. If you wanna contribute, it's ok. Thank y'all for the support.

"I wasn't expecting my life to change how it did. I really do everything for my kids."
