A creamy yet bitter pint of Guinness is essential when surviving the frosty winter.

Did you know that the ideal temperature for the delicious Irish beer is between five to seven degrees celsius?

This is why we’ve provided you with a guide to some of the best pubs in Perthshire serving the dry stout.

These vibrant drinking holes give a reason to for you leave the house instead of hibernating all through the winter! So kick up, lay your feet up and pour a cold one.

Durty Nelly’s

When you say this bar name aloud, you can’t help but speak it with an accent. It's no wonder this western Australian gem is Perth’s first authentic Irish pub.

They undoubtedly serve malty and sweet stout on tap here, as well as a delicious selection of Irish whisky to keep that fire going in your belly as it gets frostier. If you’re feeling a little peckish, dig into their chicken parmy or lemon and pepper squid!

Johnny Fox’s

Johnny Fox’s lies in the heart of Northbridge, and it’s one of the best late night bars around. Created by the Lavish Habits group, responsible for other treasures, including Henry Summers and Alabama Song, it’s safe to say a night here is like no other.

Lavish Habits wants its patrons to feel like they’ve been transported to a different era, which this venue does while boasting vintage stained-glass windows and custom-made furniture.

A perfect way to kick back and enjoy a Guinness.

JB O’Reillys

This is one of western Australia’s top-notch pubs capturing the jovial spirit of Ireland. Located in West Leederville, this popular bar is known for its delightful charm and next-level customer service.

Not to mention they offer some cracking menu items such as cheesy potato wedges, porterhouse steak and a roast perfect when paired with a pint of Guinness.

Whether you’re planning a big one or merely just stopping by, JB O’Reillys is great for those wintery nights.

Fibber Mcgees

This Irish Pub and Steakhouse Restaurant, located in Leederville, serves top-notch Irish beverages (which includes Guinness, of course) and delicious dry-aged steak, set to hit the spot.

Since the late nineties, Fibber Mcgees has been a favourite bar amongst locals, as it’s known to serve some of the best pub meals - the best guilty pleasure to indulge in as winter creeps in.

They provide both indoor and patio dining, just in case you can sit right under a toasty heater and really rug up!
