A man has been accused of abandoning his girlfriend at the Sydney HYROX event this weekend, after she fainted during the competition.
HYROX is a fitness competition that combines running with high-intensity workouts, such as burpee jumps and rowing. They are often competed in teams or solo, with events taking place around the world.
This weekend, a HYROX event in Sydney saw a woman faint during one of the activities.
According to fellow competitor and TikToker Aaron Boundy, the woman - who was competing with her boyfriend - passed out and started 'twitching on the floor'.

In a video, Aaron claimed the woman's partner ran off to finish the race on his own.
"That guy's missus just fainted and like full hit the deck," he said, showing a person on the floor surrounded by paramedics.
"She's unresponsive and he just kept doing the wall ball and then crossed the line by himself, he's left her there."

After the event, Aaron spoke again about what happened, adding: "I think I've just witnessed one of the worst things in my life.

"Some guy's missus started like falling and fainting at the wall balls and I was like, told one of the judges, 'can you help her?' And they were like what, 'no, she's OK, she's OK'.
"Then she hit the deck, fainted. She was full, like, twitching on the floor. And then her boyfriend kept on doing wall balls, didn't go over and see her.
"All the paramedics come over, and start doing all this medical stuff to her, put barricades around her... the boyfriend walks over, taps her on the leg and then looks at the judge and goes 'do I need her to finish the race?'
"They're like, technically no... then [he] ran off and finished the race without her."

People were pretty horrified over the claims, with many taking to the comments section to share their shock.
One wrote: "No context required for this one - if you sign up to do team sports you agree to compete as one. Whether that’s your better half or just a mate, you start together and finish together. I’ve seen friends pull up early into a race and tell their partner to crack on and do a solo. But fainting and fitting on the floor, that’s a no from me. More important things in life than seeing your time pop up on a screen."
While another said: "I was a judge on Sunday - and let me tell you. Some people’s true colours come out under pressure. Hoping she’s ok."
According to news.com.au, a woman thought to be the girlfriend commented on the clip, explaining what had happened.
“My first two questions to my partner when I came to was ‘Did you finish it for us, and what time did we get?’" she said.

"And for context, if you bothered to show it, he came back straight away, a bit disappointing that this has been taken out of context for views."
And another added: "This is not an accurate reflection of what actually took place. I was there and witnessed the entire situation as well. He checked on his partner multiple times while she was being attended to by medics. It feels like the account of events has been unfairly misrepresented."
Mat Lock, Country Manager for HYROX APAC and Technical Director for HYROX Elite Racing, told news.com.au: “The lady in question was assessed by the medical team at the wall ball station and then quickly relocated by wheelchair to the medical zone for treatment.
“A while later, the racer recovered sufficiently to leave on foot with her entourage and was advised to seek follow-up medical advice as a precaution.

“After receiving a radio call from a Head Judge, the medical team and Event Directors responded quickly to the situation. Priority was, and always will be, given to the participant’s assessment/treatment, privacy and safety.”
He also added: “Both teammates are required to complete the full race to be eligible for a finisher time and ranking.”
