Whispering heard by hiker in abandoned mine is seriously freaking people out

A hiker with bags of experience trekking into abandoned mines and plenty more strange places went into one to test their new torch and heard some incredibly creepy noises.

In yet another mine, they believed they had a 'supernatural' experience which was so off-putting that they decided to leave altogether.

A YouTuber was delving deep into an abandoned mine when they could hear strange sounds whispering to them from somewhere within the darkness.

They'd gone in to test a new torch, which thankfully worked like a charm because being stuck in an abandoned mine with creepy whispering and no way to see would be hell, when they heard... something.

This was a place called the Waldeck Mine, an abandoned gold mine in Western Australia, and they got deep enough into the mine to hear what sounded like faint voices in the dark calling out to them.

Wisely deciding not to follow the sound of the terrifying whispers which would mean venturing further into the dark, the hiker chose to call the torch test a success and take the opportunity to turn around and leave.

People who've seen the footage are convinced it's 'demonic whispers' and were seriously disturbed by the hiker attempting to confirm that it was just the wind only to realise it wasn't.

Others praised the YouTuber for being 'able to calmly turn his back on the chorus of chanting demons', with one person admitting they'd have 'immediately screamed, sat and cried for my mom'.

Someone else who delves into abandoned mines as a hobby admitted that they'd heard weird things from time to time themselves 'but this one takes the CAKE'.

Some poured colder water on the possibility of the abandoned gold mine being home to demons hiding down there, suggesting it was either an echo of a long-emitted sound or the noises made by someone else further into the caves.

It wasn't the only creepy cave the YouTuber has explored, as in another video on their channel they filmed their excursion into the Horton Mine, Nevada, which gave them a deep sense of foreboding.

In the end the hiker decided to listen to his gut and turn back, with the clincher being the moment when a chain suspended from the ceiling began swaying dramatically.

While much of what had been left in the abandoned mine was swaying gently in the smooth caress of the wind, there was one suspended chain which was flailing about as though someone had meddled with it.

This was yet again too much for the YouTuber's audience to bear, as they 'felt like something was gonna jump scare him' but couldn't love away as they 'love it'.

Another person wondered if it was 'slight tremors in the earth' but couldn't figure out why only one chain was swinging in that case.

Spooky stuff, and remember if you're ever going to wander into an abandoned mine you should absolutely, definitely go by yourself or the cave demons won't talk to you.
