Margot Robbie's 'perfect' way finish a day's work is to have a 'beer shower'

Margot Robbie's 'perfect' way finish a day's work is to have a 'beer shower'

She stressed that the concept wasn't her idea.

Most of us have a routine of some sort that we follow to wind down at the end of the working day.

Whether that's listening to music as we cook or hitting the gym, the importance of switching off can't be underestimated, and Margot Robbie has a particularly unique way of chilling out after a hard day's graft.

The Wolf of Wall Street actor, 32, told Harper's Bazaar: "I like to have a beer shower.”

Mercifully, this isn't exactly what it sounds like.

Robbie was at pains to stress that she isn't the inventor of the so-called beer shower in the 2016 interview.

She instead explained that she got the idea from Tina Fey's costume lady when the pair worked together on 2016's Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot.

At the time, Robbie was particularly keen to go home and unwind and discovered Fey's costume lady had specific plans in mind.

"Me too," replied the staff member. "I can't wait to go home and have a beer shower."

"I was like, what’s a beer shower?" Robbie remembered thinking.

Thankfully, it wasn't long before the actor knew exactly what was meant by the beer shower.

Robbie went on: "She said she drinks an ice-cold beer in a boiling-hot bath or shower, and it made her sleep.

"I was like, 'That sounds perfect!' So now when I get home from work, I have a beer shower or a beer bath if I have time."

News of the actor's penchant for beer showers has resurfaced after she revealed that she was offered a job at Hooters after her first acting break as a teenager.

In case you're unfamiliar with the establishment, they're famously filled with young, beautiful waiting staff who serve customers everything from beer to pub grub.

It looks like Robbie was always fated to have a close relationship with beer.

"I was in a Hooters commercial, not as a Hooters girl but as someone eating at Hooters," she recalled in an interview with NME.

"At the end of the day, they offered me a job and I was like, 'I think this is where my career is going and I'm going to end up working at Hooters. That's cool'."

But while Robbie got the offer, she ultimately turned it down in favour of chasing bigger things - which also seemed to lead her to beer.
