The Boys only has one more instalment to go, and a character in the newest episode is an even bigger cameo than a previous star-studded episode from Seth Rogen and his Superbad reunion with Christopher Mintz Plasse.
The Prime Video show grew slowly over its seasons and is now one of the biggest shows on TV, attracting huge names interested in the series, with Seth Rogen's cameo filled episode including Will Forte, Craig Robinson, and Kumail Nanjiani.
This saw Tilda Swinton voicing Ambrosius, The Deep’s octopus lover, in season four of the show.
Season five has seen an A-List celebrity cameo joining the show however which is arguably even bigger than Swinton. Once again, the cameo is linked to The Deep, whose arc in The Boys season five has been slightly odd.

The water-based character, played by Chase Crawford, has been continuing to be the pathetic snivelling villain he has been the rest of the show – filming videos supporting a Vought oil pipeline in the Bering sea.
His conflict with Black Noir causes him to blow up the pipeline in an incident ‘worse than Deepwater Horizon’, with the creatures of the sea turning on him.
In the new episode he is met on the beach by Xander, a hammerhead shark who invites him into the water before revealing it’s so he can eat the supe.
If you listened to the shark calling The Deep a ‘motherf*cker’ and thought ‘that sounds pretty familiar’, it would be because Xander is voice by Samuel L Jackson.
With it being a pretty quick voice cameo in the show however many will have missed the cameo – but a lot still picked up on it.
One fan quoted a video of the scene and said: “Lmao is that shark Samuel L Jackson??”
Another said: “IS THAT F*CKING SAMUEL L. JACKSON?”

A third added: “Is.... is that Samuel L. Jackson voicing the Shark!?”
Eric Kripke has spoken to Entertainment Weekly about the cameo, saying that Jackson was their first choice for the role.
When he asked the actor’s team he was told they would ask but not to get his hopes up, only for Jackson to end up being a fan of the show and willing to do it.
Kripke added: “There was just a morning. He was free in New York City, and we brought him into a booth. I was in L.A. but video conferencing and was able to watch him do it.
"That's a bucket-list thing, man, watching Sam Jackson read your dialogue. And I think it makes the scene just so funny because The Deep is getting told off and Sam Jackson's very, very good at that."
Whilst fans of the show unanimously love the scene of Jackson voicing a shark telling The Deep to f*ck off, the overall episode has been less beloved.
Even fans enjoying the episodes have been left a bit perplexed, with numerous storylines needing to be wrapped up in next week’s series finale.
One tweet said: “I really liked The Boys S5E7 but I’m left confused on how they’re gonna wrap this up in an episode. Is the last one gonna be longer? Like what many people have said before, these are solid episodes but they feel like they belong to a 12 ep season.”
