Kate and Gerry McCann have finally released a statement after Polish woman Julia Wendell had her claim she was Maddie disproved by DNA testing.

Their statement came as a comment from the official Find Madeleine Campaign.

The campaign, run by Kate and Gerry McCann with the help of others - issued its comment in response to a question about Wendell's bogus claims on their Find Madeleine Facebook page.

The statement read: "There isn't anything to report at this time. If and when there is, it will come from The Metropolitan Police."

Ouch.

The family's blunt words and refusal to acknowledge Wendell by name come after months of insistence from the Polish woman that she was Maddie McCann, the three-year-old British girl who went missing from Portugal in 2007.

People around the globe have became hooked on Wendell's story in recent months, who is also known by the names Julia Faustyna and Julia Wandelt.

Wendell recently appeared on an episode of Dr Phil after gaining a lot of attention online, where she confirmed she was waiting for the results of a DNA test to find out her true identity.

Julia's family are 'devastated' by her allegations.

Well, the medical records came in and Wendell's representative and psychic medium, Dr. Fia Johansson, told Radar Online exactly where she is from, revealing: "She is absolutely 100 percent from Poland.

"She is a small percentage of Lithuanian and Russian, but the test results show she is Polish."

So that means that Wendell is not McCann.

Dr. Fia added: "We learned a few things, one being that Julia’s mum is in fact now believed to be her mum, so she is not Madeleine McCann."

"They’re not 100 percent but they believe that Julia’s mum is in fact her mum. They’re questioning her father’s side," the psychic confirmed.

"They’re checking into that, that’s part of what they’re doing with the DNA."

Speaking further to Radar Online, Wendell and Dr. Fia revealed that they received almost 500 pages of the 21-year-old’s medical records.

Madeleine McCann continues to be missing almost 16 years on.

Wendell also previously claimed to have been subject to sexual assault as a child, with Dr. Fia alleging that she was forced to take '35 pills from the age of seven'.

The medium believes the man who allegedly sexually abused Wendell is linked to the McCann case, saying: "Julia had all the birthmarks as Madeleine McCann which I believe is God and the universe’s way of wanting us to get close to the man who sexually abused her, expose him, and his possible ties to the McCann case."
