While he has never been charged over her disappearance, Christian Brueckner has been the prime suspect into what happened to Madeliene McCann.
It’s been over 19 years since the then three-year-old vanished in Portugal, shortly after she was left sleeping by parents Kate and Gerry, who went for dinner in a nearby restaurant.
Brueckner has previously denied any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance but is named as a prime suspect by both British and German police.
And earlier this month, Met Police officers working on Operation Grange were allegedly handed ‘bombshell evidence’ about him. But meanwhile, footage allegedly secretly recorded of the man shows him making disturbing comments.

Brueckner, who refused to speak to the Met after UK investigators sent an international letter asking to speak to him on his release from an unrelated prison sentence, allegedly complains about the missing toddler.

Shared online, allegedly secretly filmed footage shows the man complaining about the impact the case and attention has had on him.
“Yes, but Maddie f***s my life, you know, so why should I be sorry? She's f***ing my life,” he allegedly said.
“The whole time. I can't go out of the street. People think I killed Maddie. She’s f***ing my life."
And when asked if he had anything to do with the disappearance of Madeleine, he said: “Of course not.”
Brueckner apparently laughed as he then said: “I wasn’t telling you where I was when Maddie disappeared."
But he allegedly also added: “I’ve said too much.”
It’s alleged that during filming, Brueckner got into a pal’s car and dodged the police officers assigned to monitor his movements. It’s not totally clear how recently this footage was filmed.

Discussing how he avoids those tasked with following him about, he allegedly said: “They don't know where I am. Because I left the house, jumped in your car, and we go. Otherwise, they would follow me when I walk around or with a bicycle."
Brueckner also allegedly went on to claim he was ‘not afraid’ of British authorities extraditing him.
He was freed from jail in September after serving a seven-year prison sentence for the rape of an elderly woman at her home in Praia da Luz, Portugal in 2005.
The man has been continuously monitored by German officers since, but this surveillance is reportedly coming to an end.
Brueckner has never been charged over Madeleine’s disappearance and maintains that he had no involvement.
Earlier this month, The Sun alleged that 'bombshell' filed handed to the Met showed a 'gear-shift'.
A source told the paper: “These developments are huge — it shows the Met’s interest in Brueckner is real. They are after him — like the Germans.”
