McDonald's Chicken Big Mac Is Coming Back For Limited Time Only

McDonald's fans are in for a treat, as the Chicken Big Mac is returning to the menu. 

The limited edition burger launched earlier this month, but it proved more popular than anticipated. 

Just nine days after it hit the menu, Maccies announced the burger had sold out ‘almost everywhere’, much to the dismay of those who enjoyed the variation on the traditional Big Mac. 

But if you fell into this category or you didn’t get a chance to try it the first time round, you’re in luck - as reported by Metro, the Chicken Big Mac will be back on the menu from 2 March. 

Once again, you’ll have to be quick if you want a taste of that chickeny goodness, as the limited edition run ends on 15 March, or until stocks last. 

A spokesperson from McDonald’s said: "We have been delighted by our customers’ reaction to the limited-edition Chicken Big Mac.

"Thank you to everyone who has made this the UK and Ireland’s most popular launch ever.

"The demand has been incredible, and we’re pleased to share its back but for a limited time only."

For those not in the know, you can probably figure out what the burger is like - imagine a normal Big Mac, but the beef is chicken.

Here’s how Maccies described it: “Try our two deliciously crispy coated chicken patties made with 100 percent chicken breast meat, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles and tasty Big Mac sauce!"

Clearly there’s something to it, as the dish flew off the shelves when they went on sale at the start of the month, so much so that McDonald’s had to pull it from the menu. 

They said the burger had been its most popular launch ever in the UK and Ireland, writing on Twitter nine days after it dropped: "Well, that escalated quickly. 

“Your love for the limited edition Chicken Big Mac knew no bounds and it’s sold out almost everywhere.

"Thank you for lovin' it even more than we thought you would, it'll be back soon."

A number of fans took to the comments section at the time to share their dismay, with one commenting: "Nooooo I haven't had a chance yet! I am devastated."

Another said: "Back soon? Are you serious, just make it permanent!!!! It was the best thing I've ever eaten at McDonald's!"

Thankfully, their wishes have been answered and they’ll have another chance to try it when the Chicken Big Mac returns this week.
