Milky Way Crispy Rolls Have Been Discontinued

The news has not been well received by fans of the chocolate, and a petition has been launched calling for its return

Milky Way Crispy Rolls have been discontinued - much to the dismay of Milky Way Crispy Rolls fans.

The chocolatey, wafery, Milky Way-ey snack was loved by many, but evidently not enough to stop it from being removed from shelves.

Fans of the choc feared the worst when they were unable to find the treat in shops and a spokesperson for Mars Wrigley UK - which manufactures the chocolate - confirmed Crispy Rolls are now 'in a galaxy far, far away'.

They told LADbible: "While Milky Way Crispy Rolls are currently in a galaxy far, far away we're pleased to offer many delicious alternatives such as Milky Way Magic Stars, Maltesers, Mars and of course, the traditional Milky Way.

"The love for Milky Way Crispy Rolls has been out of this world and we've certainly taken note!"

Crispy Rolls are no more.

The company's selection of similar offerings will serve as little consolation for the chocolate's diehard fans though, and an impassioned petition calling for a swift reversal of the 'very disappointing' discontinuation has been launched.

The petition reads: "This product is a very popular product which many people love and it is a nice low calorie snack. This product has been around for quite some time and it's disappointing that after all that time Mars Chocolate has discontinued it from there product range.

"I for one would choose the Milky Way Crispy Rolls over other Mars Chocolate products. For example I would rather have a Milky Way Crispy Roll rather than a Milky Way and I'm sure many other people think the same!"

The Crispy Roll fanboy went on to offer the enormous chocolate manufacturer some business advice.

The petition continues: "I know that some products are discontinued because they are not as popular as other products, however I don't think this is the case.

"The only stores in the UK that sold this product was; B&M, The Co-op and Poundland. Why wasn't Waitrose, Morrisons, Tesco and Asda selling this product? I believe if this product was sold in those stores you would find it being a even more popular product.

"If you went to 1 of the 3 stores that did stock that product you would mostly find that the product was out of stock because of its popular demand."

Yeah, did you ever think about selling your chocolates in more shops, Mars? Could be an idea.

Evidently though, the bloke who started the petition calling for Crispy Rolls to be brought back is not alone, with almost 1,800 signing at the time of writing.

Whether those signatures and business tips will be enough to convince Mars to bring the Crispy Rolls back from a galaxy far, far away remains to be seen.
