It's that time of the year again -- Pornhub has just released the biggest searches for the past 12 months, with a spike in a specific category over the others.
The Canadian-owned internet pornography video-sharing website is one of the most popular for adult entertainment, and one of the most visited websites in the world.
Launched in 2007, the platform yearly makes public data about what make their audience tick. As 2023 is drawing to a close, the website has looked back at the recent months, sharing what the NSFW content their users like to watch.

5 - Sexual healing
In fifth place, viewers were interested in wellness-adjacent content, with a surge in searches for 'sexual healing' practices. The bigger interest was recorded in Canada (566%) and Australia (541%).
Physical healing lead the results, with terms like 'massage therapy' and 'therapy sex' and 'foot therapy' going up by 76%, 121% and 219% respectively.
'Massage therapist' and 'sex therapist' also experience an increase in searches, while the search for 'personal trainer' content grew by 85%.

4 - Uniforms
Fourth place was scooped by 'uniforms,' with Pornhub users leaning in on the stereotype, having the hots for 'military' and 'cop' uniforms as well as 'female soldier' and 'gay soldier' going up by 332%.
3 - Sex machines
Interestingly, as the recent AI discourse has taken the implications of the pervasive role of technology in our lives to the next level, Pornhub also recorded a fascination with 'sex machines'.

Searches for 'android,' including terms like 'android cosplay' or 'android roleplay', were up by 1689%. 'Sex robot' and '3D robot' grew by 304% with new term NPC (non playable character), aided by its new popularity on TikTok, went up by 1541%.
2 - Super size
In second place, the platform has been registering an interest for bigger sizes, with users being interested in watching content starring performers with larger-than-average penises, breasts and 'booties'. Terms like 'big', 'bigger', and 'biggest', saw an increase of 177% on the platform.

'Mature' content has taken the top spot, with the search for this category experiencing an increase of 77%.
Terms like 'MILF' and 'DILF' have had a surge in popularity, growing by 71%. Similarly, 'Granny' and 'GILF' have been gaining momentum, going up by a whopping 132% and 168% respectively.
Meanwhile, a recent report revealed what is the most popular time of day for UK adults to watch porn online. Surprisingly, porn-watching was most popular between 9am to 5.29pm than at other times of the day - with 21% of adults accessing NSFW content during working hours.
