Mum is terrified she can't remove Halloween face tattoo before work the next day

The stick on tattoos were a whole lot less temporary and far more stubborn than Elizabeth thought.

A British woman has found herself in a very awkward situation when the scary temporary tattoo she stuck to her face for Halloween proved to be far more permanent than once thought.

Elizabeth Rose took to TikTok to share her dismay as she tried to scrub off the scary stickers.

The now-viral clip has been viewed more than 1.6 million times.

She revealed she'd popped the 'temporary' tattoo for a bit of fun on her and her granddaughter, before realising just how firmly on they were.

She said: "Put a tattoo sticker on, join in a bit of Halloween, you know? Put some on my granddaughter as well, she's seven, and my daughter rings up going 'has it come off?'

"Well, it can't be that difficult, surely?"

Elizabeth picked up a cotton pad to try and scrub the spooky sticker off her face. The tattoo, unfortunately for her, didn't budge an inch. Uh oh.

She then tried to have a crack at the patch on her forehead with the same bad luck.

The poor woman can then be heard sighing: "F**k sake, I have meetings tomorrow."

After some scrubbing, the 46-year-old managed to get the sticker off, telling one follower that her meeting the next day was 'colourful' due to her scrubbed skin.

But, all in good fun, she put up another video to test out what had been suggested to her in the comments section.

She was ready with another temporary tattoo, however this one was even brighter and bolder than the last.

She tried out parcel tape first after showing her followers she was also going to try sellotape, baby oil, hand sanitiser, vodka and more.

In the follow up video she can be seen pressing the sticky side of the packing tape into her skin before lifting the tape.

The tattoo came off with ease.

The stunned woman simply said: "What the f***k?"

She tried three more times with the tape and was shocked at how easy it was to remove this way.

Laughing from surprise, she told viewers that she didn't think she could now be bothered trying to use 'the hand sanitiser, the nail varnish remover, or the olive oil, or the normal sellotape'.

She added: "I might as well drink the vodka and be done with it."

Well, lesson well and truly learned here. Don't scrub, just use tape. It's as easy as that.
