An American man has given his honest opinion on British classics and his videos have caused a bit of a debate. Watch him try a jacket potato and Hobnob biscuit for the first time in the video below:

AJ Slambino is originally from the American city of Atlanta, Georgia and has over 123,000 followers on TikTok, where he posts reviews of snacks from the UK.

It'll be hard to find anything more British than a jacket potato with cheese and beans.

The TikToker went and tried the classic combo and, to be fair, he did it properly by using none other than Heinz beans.

After having a bite his eyes lit up and he confessed: "OK...This is really really really good. I could eat this."

AJ also tried a Hobnob biscuit - first on its own and then dipped in tea. Unfortunately, he wasn't as keen.

Sitting in his car, he reached for the packet and grabbed an oaty biscuit from the packet and took a bite.

He repeatedly said: "That's really dry."

I'm warning you in advance, he might just upset a few people from what he said: "It tastes like sawdust.

"That's not good, not good at all. I'm not even going to finish it.

"Hobnob you've got a great name but you don't taste very good."

Many in the comments were asking him to dip it in tea first before judging the taste. And that's exactly what he did.

After trying it again, he said: "No, I'm sorry it still tastes of sawdust.

"That actually tastes worse, when it's dipped. Not good at all."

One user wrote: "OMG how do you not like Hobnobs they are my favourite biscuits ever?"

A second user added: "What!!!! Hobnobs are the best."

The American also went and tried a good old Branston pickle.

After opening up the jar and taking a whiff he wasn't impressed.

He added: "Oh my God, I'm going to throw up one sec.

"That's all I'm putting on [the sandwich] that has to be the worst smell ever.

"I am so nervous to try this."

He then cut the pickle up into chunks and added it to a cheese sandwich.

Immediately after he took a bite, the TikToker spat out his sandwich back onto his plate in absolute disgust.

One user wrote: "How can someone not like Branston pickle."

While a second added: "I'm afraid we can no longer let you come into Britain now. Ever!"

In other videos he also tries classics such as Wine Gums, Monster Munch and Lucozade.
