QAnon Conspiracy Theorists Claim Greta Thunberg Was Part Of Capitol Riots

Apparently she was the bloke with the moustache

QAnon conspiracy theorists are reportedly alleging that Greta Thunberg was involved in the riots at the Capitol earlier this month.

A meme circulating on social media shows a rioter alongside a photo of Thunberg, with the caption: "Nice try, Greta"

As you can see, the protestor in question is a bloke who looks nothing like the 18-year-old Swede.

Ignoring all the other flaws in the theory, they haven't even found a woman who looks a bit like her to lend it some credibility.

Ordinarily, you would assume this was just a joke, rather than an actual theory, but when you're talking about conspiracy theorists who allege that a secret cabal of Satan-worshipping, cannibalistic paedophiles is running a global child sex-trafficking ring, who are we to say what is beyond the bounds of reason?

In case you need some convincing it isn't her, Snopes has done way more investigating than was really necessary.

Dead ringer, isn't he?

It concluded: "For argument's sake, had she dressed up as a Trump supporter and participated in the siege to try to overthrow Biden's presidential win (for whatever reason), the discovery would not likely emerge first as an uncredited meme, but rather as a major news story from a reputable source, considering Thunberg's prominence.

"Additionally, the person next to Angeli [a 'QAnon shaman'] was identified, not as the international activist, but as a male employee of a Maryland-based marketing production company, according to news reports and a statement from Navistar Direct Marketing obtained by Snopes."

Hopefully that puts you at ease.

Thunberg recently trolled former president Donald Trump as he left the White House.

Taking to Twitter, Greta shared a snap of the 74-year-old stepping onto the presidential helicopter Marine One on the White House lawn.

Sarcastically, she said: "He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!"

It's safe to say that Greta and Trump aren't exactly best of friends, and have never seen eye to eye.

Over the past few years, the pair have taken a number of swipes at one another, going back and forth on social media.

The back and forth has halted now though, as Trump has been banned from Twitter.
