A student at the Utah Valley University has revealed that he spotted a man on the roof of a campus building weeks before Charlie Kirk was shot dead.
The 31-year-old father was fatally shot during the first stop of his American Comeback Tour.
The political activist took questions on a wide range of topics, asking those in the crowd to prove him wrong.
However, just seconds after Kirk was questioned on the increase of gun violence, he was shot in the neck, with president Donald Trump the one to confirm the news that he had passed away.

Posting on Truth Social, he wrote: "The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!"
Since the shooting on Tuesday, a number of details have been released about the suspected killer, with the FBI releasing the first images and videos of a person of interest yesterday, but at the time of writing, the killer remains at large.

Several videos released in the aftermath of Kirk's death have captured a man, who was seemingly dressed all in black, on the roof of a building around 200 yards away from the stage where Kirk was speaking.
The images shared by the FBI match up with that image and now one student at the university has revealed that it may not have been the alleged killer's first time on the roof, as he claims he saw a man up there just weeks before the Turning Point founder was killed.

The unnamed student told CNN that a man was either on or near the Losee Center roof twice in the past two weeks, looking down at the courtyard where Kirk would later host his event on Tuesday 9 September.
He admitted that the photos released by the FBI 'looked familiar' but he couldn't be certain that it was the same man he spotted, describing him as 'a tall, skinny-ish white dude [who] had dark hair' with dark clothes and a backpack.

After describing the situation as 'weird', he also revealed that a professor had questioned why the man was on the roof only to be dismissed by the man, in a meeting just six days before Kirk was killed.
Although the student suggests that he has reported his information to the FBI, he said he is yet to hear back.
