A creative dad has come up with a hilarious response for whenever his partner asks if their children are okay, ingeniously Photoshopping the youngsters into precarious situations.

Some parents go to fairly extreme lengths to ensure photos of their kids are nothing short of perfect - carefully posing well-dressed siblings alongside each other as if they are the Von Trapp family, before the snap takes pride of place on the mantelpiece.

Not Kenny Duess, however, who prefers to be a bit more imaginative when it comes to photographing his children - creating amusing scenarios to send to his girlfriend.

Duess, who is from Antwerp in Belgium, started the long-running joke after his partner would message him to ask if their baby daughter Alix was okay.

Rather than replying to say that Alix - born in 2019 - was fine, or sending a quick photo of her napping to put his girlfriend's mind at ease, he realised he had an opportunity to show off some artistic flair.

Duess, who is now also dad to Aster, born earlier this year, now shares all of his creations on Instagram under the handle @onadventurewithdad, Photoshopping his kids into seagull attacks, UFO encounters terrifying stunts, heavy drinking sessions and more.

Speaking to Bored Panda last year, before the birth of his second child, Duess explained that his partner always enjoys seeing the photos - which also show him teaching his children swear words or letting them play with fireworks.

He said: "My girlfriend had to look twice when she received the first photo [to understand what was really going on], but it didn't take long before she and her colleagues started looking forward to new pictures.

"That being said, she always makes sure that the pictures were safely made. She's always happy with the result."

He added of his daughter: "Alix is an easy going, happy child. She is always smiling with a funny character, trying to make us laugh mixed with a hint of stubbornness."

Duess now also offers the same Photoshopping service for other families via his website, where people can simply pick a template and get in touch with their request.

He says that the photos recently went viral on Reddit and regularly appear in the press, but that their story doesn't end there - with the loving dad, Alix and Aster creating new pictures for their fans every week.
