It's not every day you get a genuine clash of the titans, but it looks like one is certainly on the cards after Eddie Hall and Hafþór 'The Mountain' Björnsson agreed to fight one another. You can watch Hall's response to Björnsson's challenge below:

The two strongmen are set to step into the boxing ring for a super heavyweight bout.

Following his record-breaking dead-lift yesterday (2 May), the Game of Thrones star took the opportunity to call out his British rival.

The 31-year-old said: "CoreSports just offered me a seven-year contract, I have signed it already.

"Eddie Hall has been running his mouth now for weeks and I know he has been given the same contract.

"So, Eddie, I just knocked out your record. And now I'm ready to knock you out in the ring.

"It's time to put your fist where your big mouth is, and sign the CoreSports contract. I'm ready, are you ready?"

Well, it didn't take long for Eddie to hit back, taking to his social media channel to accept the challenge.

Stating he was going to sign the contract, the 32-year-old said the rivalry went further than records and he couldn't let it go.

"1,000 percent I'm going to sign those papers," he blasted in a Facebook video.

"And you know why I'm going to sign those papers... it's not the money, it's not the dead lift feud we've got going on, nothing to do with that.

"It's because you called me a cheat at World's Strongest Man 2017.

"I can't put that to bed, I can't forget it. People may forget it, but you've never apologised.

"You think you should've won that year, regardless of the trophies or not, and you let people know that."

But if you thought Eddie was bluffing, he went on to say that he is ready to 'rip his [Björnsson's] f***ing head off'. Gulp.

He went on: "I cannot have that, that's why I'm going to sign those papers.

"Because I want to teach you a lesson. and that lesson is going to be me knocking you the f*** out.

"I don't care if you're 6ft 9in, I don't care if you're an actual giant. I don't care.

"I'm gonna train the hardest, prepare the hardest... do everything in my power to step in that ring and rip your f***ing head off.

"So Thor, get training, I'll see you in the ring."
