Mother-Of-Two Gored To Death By Bull In Spain

The moment a mother-of-two was gored by a bull, leading to her untimely death, has been revealed.

Sofia Lopez Gonzalez, 47, was attempting to hide behind a railing from the animal when the goring took place.

Her husband and two sons, aged 9 and 15, witnessed the incident.

She was struck in the abdomen and later died in hospital as a result of her injuries.

Sofia was originally from Moratalla. She had moved with her family to a nearby village, but was visiting to celebrate the week-long Cristo del Rayo festival.

This death follows a string of other fatalities due to bull gorings.

It makes you wonder if these bull runs are really worth the brief exhilaration? The sad thing is, they are so ingrained into society that it's not likely to change any time soon.
