People Bored In Isolation Have Tried Giving Themselves Haircuts

Right, by now most of us are climbing up the walls with boredom as we stay at home and try our best to keep away from other people.

But it would seem the cabin fever has really started to set in, with some people out there having taken to giving themselves DIY haircuts. I guess this is as good a time as any to get creative.

The horror shows were compiled in a list on The Tab, with students trying to keep their locks under control during this trying time. Yikes.

First up is Lara, who decided to give her fringe a quick once over.

But despite the savvy 22-year-old adding a bit of moisture to help out, the end result leaves a little to be desired. Rather than the traditional 'bowl cut', she has ended up with a strange hill-like effect.

But hers really isn't the worst, not by a long way. 6/10

Next we come to Matt, 20, who attempted the fabled 'skin fade' but failed to appreciate quite how difficult it is to execute well. Unlucky, mate. 4/10

Then we have Tommy. Oh dear, what can we say about this poor lad?

An ambitious attempt, it seems at first glance that the 22-year-old has had someone try and give him a super-edgy kind of peeked fade, but it's not quite come off. 4/10

It looks like Ollie, 22, went for a bit of a retro cut with his modern take on the mullet. 4/10

Now we have the author of the list and one of its main culprits, Harry. We'll let him explain this one.

The 23-year-old said: "I did myself a bowl cut back when I had bleach blonde hair and, as shabby as it looked, I kind of styled it out. This time, however, things are different, and it looks like I have a literal lid." 3/10

But finally we come to the creme de la creme of awful bargain barber jobs. Josh.

A little more risky than the others in the list, the 20-year-old seems to have been inspired by retired Brazilian goalscorer Ronaldo.

But rather than stick with the hair at the front, has reversed the look. Sadly, his gamble really didn't pay off. 1/10

If anything, this should work to demonstrate how difficult a job hairdressing actually is. Just leave it to the professionals.

One positive to come out of this is that at least they've got plenty of time for them to grow out, right?
