Two Met Police officers have been sacked for gross misconduct after making homophobic, racist and sexualised comments to colleagues.
PCs Ben Jeffries and Wayne Sansom were found to have breached standards on multiple occasions dating back to 2020, including an incident in November 2021 at Wembley Police Station where Sansom lifted his leg and farted in the face of a female colleague after telling her 'pull my finger' and she declined to do so.
Sansom admitted to saying 'pull my finger' but denied actually farting, while another officer who witnessed the incident said that he had 'passed wind very loudly' and then 'laughed out loud and walked away'.
Speaking for the Met Police, Russell Ford said that Sansom 'fully accepts his attempt at humour was misplaced and inappropriate in a modern policing workplace'
"PC Sansom approached her and asked her to pull his finger, she knew what was intended and told him to move along," Ford explained to the hearing.

A misconduct hearing was told that in August 2021, Jeffries took the female officer's phone and took pictures of his genitals on it.
When she confronted him, he said: "Why are you getting offended? It's just a picture of my balls."
The hearing was told that Jeffries 'inappropriate and discourteous comments' to the same officer about her sexuality and heritage.
An incident from December 2021 was also raised at the hearing where an officer described assisting Sansom on a call with 'Romanian people who did not speak English'.
Sansom later complained about the Romanians, calling them 'f**king d**kheads', and a female officer told him: "That’s ok Wayne, everyone knows you don’t like Romanian people."

He claimed he only asked her about her sexuality 'once' after hearing rumours. Both officers have been dismissed without notice.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, who leads policing for the North West Command, said: "The actions and comments made by both PC Jeffries and PC Samson were disgusting, wholly inappropriate and fell far below the standards expected of Met police officers. It is right they have been dismissed.
"I would encourage our staff to continue to report any wrongdoing so that we can take action."
Both former officers have been added the Barred List, meaning they can no longer be employed by the police or the fire and rescue services.
