A TikTok user has shared a video showing followers how he hides his 'fat receding hairline' on a budget, using simple tricks and a handful of inexpensive products.

TikToker Kegs (@kegs97) posted the clip on his feed yesterday, writing: "How I hide my receding hairline!"

In less than 24 hours, the post has racked up 1.3 million views and more than 75,000 likes, suggesting just how relatable the topic is.

In the video, he shows us how he sprays his hairline with root spray to hide any gaps, before using straighteners to curl up his fringe.

He explains: "So this is how I hide my fat receding hairline on a budget.

"After I shower, I quickly blow-dry it with a hairdryer. I then grab some dark brown root spray and spray over where the receding hairline is - this hides any gaps underneath the fringe and gives it a fuller, thicker look.

"I then quickly curl up my fringe - my hair's naturally really straight, so this helps a lot."

Then it's just a case of styling, with Kegs using styling gel and hairspray to finish off the look.

He continues: "I then grab some Got2B styling gel and rub it through my hair - this gives it texture and volume and puts it into place.

"Finally I grab some Got2B hairspray, spraying it all over so that it stays in position.

"And voila! That's the finished product of how to hide a fat receding hairline."

Many people commented on the post to say his hair looked 'great'.

One TikToker said: "I love that you've found a way to feel confident!! Looks great!"

Another person added: "I love that you talk about this. Most people hide it and it's very common."

A third said: "Well done for being so brave and sharing this with us."

Not everyone had such kind words to say, however, with some either urging him to 'embrace' the way he looks or telling him to 'just go bald' - not that it seemed to bother him.

Kegs wrote in a later comment: "For anyone giving me [poo emoji], no I won't go bald and no I'm not really self conscious about it, I just like to make myself look as best I possibly can."
