Festive film classic Home Alone turns 30 years old this year and, while Macaulay Culkin's time as a Hollywood A-lister may be long gone, the house that it was filmed in is still going strong - and you can take a look inside!
Yes, it's hard to believe it's been three decades since young Kevin McCallister fought off a pair of burglars with an array of tricks that surely would've killed lesser mortals many times over, after his family forgot to take him to Paris with them.

What of the house that he was defending though? The multi-million pound Georgian mansion still looks in good shape from the images here, although somewhat less festive than fans of the famous film may remember.
The current owners have gone for a more modern look than the house of 30 years ago, although if you take a look at the rooms and features you'll recognise them from Kevin's escapades straight away.
If you take a look at the staircase for instance, where Kevin slid down the bannister to escape the house via the front door, you can see that although the red carpet has been swapped for a pale blue, those stairs are unmistakable.
The kitchen meanwhile is incredibly minimalist in 2020, compared to the dark, cluttered room it was in the film. with marble replacing the tiles and white cupboards in place of the red and green colour scheme.
One thing that has retained its grandeur is the dining room. A bustling, busy part of the house in the film (at least before everyone cleared out to France for a bit) we reckon it's just as likely to be the centre of the Illinois house now, with a large table taking centre stage.
One room that does look very different, largely due to having a big piano right in the middle of it, is the office room. It's been painted a cool grey and has a completely different feel to the room of 1990.
What might please fans of Home Alone the most though will be the sight of Kevin's parents' bedroom. Used by the protagonist in the film as something of a base, the bedroom was characterised by a luxurious looking four poster bed - and it looks like the current owners have kept it after all these years!
With much of the film centred around these main areas of the house, one thing you might not quite get the sense of is the sheer size of the house, but the floor plan here shows just how vast is really is.
So happy anniversary to Home Alone; and to the house's current owners - make sure you don't leave anyone behind if you're jetting off for the holidays, you never know what carnage you might come back to.
